Katelyn Ramirez

Healthy Within

Katelyn Ramirez is a volunteer intern at Healthy Within. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Studio Arts at UCSD and is expected to graduate in June 2026. As a first-generation college student, being able to support the Healthy Within team and learning about the impact Neurofeedback has, has become a huge motivating factor for Katelyn to continue to push herself educationally. She aspires to further expand her knowledge by going to graduate school for a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Katelyn is particularly interested in helping and studying marriage and family dynamics that deal with issues that stem from addiction. As someone who has seen how these issues impact not just the user but their relationships with their loved ones, she strives to make and help provide the tools needed to create a place of comfort and understanding. Although addiction is becoming less stigmatized, Katelyn hopes to bring more awareness to the mental health challenges that come with the addiction itself and the mental health challenges that come with sobriety after addiction.
Along with her passion for mental health, Katelyn is a strong advocate for expressing oneself within art. In her free time, she loves to partake in a multitude of hobbies that include drawing, jewelry making, crocheting, baking, and collecting plants.
