Camila Rodriguez, B.A

Camila graduated UC Davis in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Global Disease Biology. During this time she developed a passion for public health and epidemiological research, and is now currently a Master’s in Public Health student at CSU San Marcos. During her time at CSUSM Camila has fostered her interest in research by volunteering at a cardiac research lab, and working as a health demography research assistant.

In the future, Camila aims to work towards a PhD in Epidemiology, driven by a desire to learn more about chronic illness etiology and prevention. She hopes to better understand how patient demographics and behaviors can impact their risk for adverse brain health issues, cardiac diseases and cancers.

When not at school or work, Camila enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with friends and family. She is passionate about approaching mental health from a holistic perspective, emphasizing whole-body health to promote one’s mental wellbeing.
